Todd Chrisley’s worst fears about his wife, Julie Chrisley, amid her reduced sentence have been revealed. Recall that in 2022, Todd and Julie bagged a 12-year and seven-year jail sentence for fraud and tax evasion, respectively. However, in September 2023, reports confirmed that the duo had their sentences reduced. While the court reduced Todd’s by two years, they reduced Julie’s by 14 months. Over a year after serving their jail term, a panel recently reevaluated the matriarch’s sentencing. However, the news brought relief and anxiety to the Chrisley household, especially Todd.
During a chat with Daily Mail, a source opened up about the actor’s feelings. “Although Todd is happy for Julie, he is already at the end of his rope in there and has like eight years left. He is glad Julie may be able to be there for the family,” the insider said. On the other hand, they revealed Todd Chrisley’s worst fears about Julie Chrisley was her leaving him. “More than anything, Todd fears that if Julie is out she will find someone else and fall in love and leave Todd…someone that didn’t drag her through hell and back,” the source explained.
Panel Reevaluates Julie Chrisley’s Prison Sentence
On June 21, Julie had her seven-year sentence overturned after a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the judge in the 2022 trial miscalculated her sentence. Court documents revealed insufficient evidence to prove she was involved in the fraud scheme, which began in 2006. “The district court did not identify the evidence it relied on to hold Julie accountable for losses incurred before 2007, and we cannot independently find it in the record,” the judges stated in their ruling. They then handed Julie’s case to a lower court to determine how her sentencing would be adjusted per the new ruling.
Amid the news of Julie Chrisley’s reduced sentence, the family’s lawyer said the couple’s children are excited. According to him, Savannah and Chase are hopeful their mom will serve any remaining time in home confinement.
