Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an excellent follow-up to the hit game, Breath of the Wild, and features some new mechanics that take THE gameplay in a much more creative direction. Tears of the Kingdom has now introduced a new fusing mechanic that allows players to combine various materials in order to create anything from weapons too complex contraptions. Many devoted players have been hard at work creating some of the Tears of the Kingdom’s best, most interesting, and coolest builds and creations, ranging from practical and effective to wacky and bizarre concepts. Here are some of those wonderful recipes that you should try next time you play Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
#10: Link’s Brand-New Mech
Of course, what game is complete without having a large mech suit to pilot into battle? This is one of the best Tears of the Kingdom creations for any player who is a fan of mechs, or large pilot-able suits of robotic armor. This Tears of the Kingdom build is fully operational, including a large laser weapon. Although it may take some time to gather enough energy cells to construct effectively, the work will be worth the reward to cut through swaths of enemies in Link’s brand-new mech suit.
#9: This Best Tears Of The Kingdom Creation Lets Link Travel In Style
The next Tears of the Kingdom creation is one of the best ways for Link to travel: relaxing on a giant armchair. Although this build doesn’t have the same cool factor that the mech suit has, there is something extremely satisfying about watching Link speed across the map, while being able to hang back and relax. Additionally, this is a much simpler build for players who are new to the game and Tears of the Kingdom’s fusing mechanic. Despite this build being more comedic than effective, it’s definitely worth it for any player looking to kick back, relax and enjoy the game’s wonderful scenery.
#8: Tears Of The Kingdom Brings New Levels To Shield Surfing
One of the simpler, but still one of the best, creations that players can make in Tears of the Kingdom comes from fusing a minecart with a shield, which creates a device similar to a skateboard. When using the skateboard to surf down hills, Link will have an easier time navigating past bumpy and uneven terrain. On top of this, players can also use the skateboard to grind on rails, creating some cool tricks for Link to pull off. For a mechanic that was already extremely fun from Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom has definitely found a way to improve on something already so great.
#7: Link Can Now Take On Armies With A Tank
Returning to constructing weapons of mass destruction, Tears of the Kingdom players have created many vehicles of war, including tanks, that allow Link to rain destruction on his enemies. The tank itself seems like a pretty standard build, which mainly features a large gun on top of a decently standard vehicle design. Despite this, however, the tank isn’t overly effective though it does try and do its Job to the best of its capabilities. In the end, the tank is definitely one of Tears of the Kingdom’s best creations to try, at least before it becomes a pile of rubble on the ground.
#6: Link Can Blast Off To The Skies With This Build
Another simple build that players can do in Tears of the Kingdom involves placing a bomb on a shield. Although this by itself doesn’t sound too interesting, when players attempt to surf on this new contraption, Link will be launched high into the air. This allows for some cool aerial attacks and stylish finishers. Sadly, however, this build doesn’t really bring as much particle use as some of the others, but it definitely makes up for this in style points. In terms of the cool combos that can be pulled off with this build, the bomb shield is definitely one of the best creations in Tears of the Kingdom.
#5: Tears of the Kingdom Creations Introduce A Bomber Plane
Continuing with the theme of explosion and war-based builds, players have already found a way to construct a bomber plane to drop explosives on unsuspecting enemies. As many players are already familiar with the game’s trailer, Link can build various flying contraptions in Tears of the Kingdom. However, the ones shown off in the trailer seem to be taking on a more peaceful approach than the large bomber planes that can take down groups of enemies at a time.
#4: A Wing Launcher Can Send Link Gliding Through The Air
Moving back to some more simple builds, players have created one of the best Tears of the Kingdom creations, that many players wouldn’t think of despite being an interesting contraption. In this build, some boards prop up a large, controllable glider attached to rockets and fans that allow it to launch in the sky, and have Link fly around. This device is much more simple than the many flying contraptions we have already seen, however, this simplicity brings a certain level of charm with it.
#3: Link Can Relive His Wind Waker Days
Although Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is not available on Switch, players have attempted to relive their experience of sailing through the seas on Link’s trusty boat, The King of Red Lions. In this hilarious build, we see a boat crafted to resemble the one from Wind Waker. Since it is a simple design overall, Wind Waker fans should take the opportunity to bring a little bit of the classic Zelda title to Tears of the Kingdom.
#2: Link Can Use A Trojan Horse To Sneak To Ganon
While being arguably one of the least practical builds on the list, the Trojan Horse remains one of Tears of the Kingdom’s funniest creations. Though it may not fool any of the game’s enemies, flying into a base while riding inside a wooden horse is definitely a sight to behold for any spectators. Plus, it doesn’t take too many resources to build, so players should take a chance to build this, and pray Ganon doesn’t look this gift horse in the mouth.
#1: Tears Of The Kingdom’s Best Creations Bring Orbital Strike Laser
Any player looking for build or creation inspiration in Tears of the Kingdom should look no further than the Orbital Laser showcased in a Tweet by HighTierDensity. After activating this build, a flying machine will glide through the air and rain destruction from above on any enemy unfortunate enough to be below it. This build overall is a perfect reminder of exactly how creative the fusing mechanic in Tears of the Kingdom can be.
