The player-made challenges in The Sims 4 can each be categorized differently. There are Money Challenges, Legacy Challenges, and more. The sheer amount of them can be frustrating, and most players prefer looking at a list that includes all of the best challenges available, regardless of what category they fall in. The following list includes each of the challenges that we felt were both fun to play and relatively easy to complete.
10. 100 Baby Challenge
Yes, you read that correctly. There is a challenge that requires the matriarch of the main Sims’ house to birth 100 babies in as few generations as possible. It’s absurdness is exactly why we added it to the list. The rules only add to the absurdity as matriarch’s may not marry until after they can no longer have children and the matriarch may not conceive with the same person twice. There are a variety of videos online of players successfully completing this challenge, but at the expense of their sanity.
9. Decades Challenge
This is another absurd one as it requires you to generationally evolve your family beginning from the 1890s to the 2020s. The rules require that players do things such as send their sons off to World War I and World War II and their daughters to the Korean War as medical aides and nurses. Because the world around your Sims’ home still revolves, you’ll have to suspend your belief a bit. Especially since the use of computers or cell phones can’t necessarily be avoided.
8. Occult Baby Challenge
Challenges involving babies are just funny. This one requires you to have a baby with every occult in the game including a Vampire, Mermaid, Patchy the Straw Man, Flower Bunny, Alien, Spell, Caster, Werewolf, Father Winter, Plan Sim, Island Elemental, Grim Reaper, Tragic Clown, Ghost, Servo Bot, and Wishing Well. The rules are pretty much the same as the 100 Baby Challenge except, you know, you don’t need to have 100 of them.
7. Hotel Challenge
The Hotel Challenge is very similar to the Kidnap Challenge, with the added challenge of running a hotel. The purpose is to build a hotel and once everything has been built, only give the Sim who is running the hotel 1,000 simoleons. Their goal will be to run a successful business with only that amount and fill every available room. You can invite guests in from the street or do anything possible to get them to stay in one of your rooms. The catch is that the guests can’t leave once they’ve entered until the challenge is over.
6. Apocalypse Challenge
This challenge is a little less unhinged in comparison to the ones above. The story is that hundreds of years have passed and a project known as the Wonder Child project was enacted to help bring an end to an apocalypse that happened in the city of Glassbolt. You are the city’s only hope and need to abide by several different restrictions that can only be removed by reaching the top of each of the available careers. Even though it isn’t as odd, it is definitely a difficult challenge to get through.
5. 7 Toddler Challenge
As we mentioned before, challenges with toddlers or babies are just funny. This challenge just requires your Sims to take care of a minimum of seven toddlers who each have their own unique traits. There are no other rules than that, which makes the challenge seem much more difficult if it doesn’t really require much even to be considered a challenge. You’re even allowed to use money cheats and hire a Nanny if you so please.
4. Homeless Challenge
As the name suggests, you are tasked with being a Sim that has no money and no belongings. You’ll be assigned to a plot that has no home on it and you’re job will be to get yourself out of homelessness. The catch is that you can’t get yourself a job and have to try living off the land. Realistically, it should take about $5,000 simoleons before you can really get on your feet.
3. Build a City Challenge
This challenge definitely takes a lot of dedication since you need to control all of the households in your world. You also need to reach 50,000 points before you can consider this challenge finished. You need to begin with a randomizer event for your starting Sims but as you meet more Sims, earn more money, and get more valuable resources, you’ll see your points start stacking up.
2. Asylum Challenge
You need to create a house with eight Sims that each have the same insane trait. The purpose of the challenge is to control one of these Sims and meet their aspirations, and escape the asylum. This poses a genuinely difficult challenge as well as an incredible testament to the traits themselves.
1. The Impossible Sim Challenge
As the name suggests, the purpose of this challenge is to get a Sim with a nearly impossible combination of traits. The three traits that the Sim needs to have are being a pure alien, Father Winter’s baby, and the Saluna Mana trait. Players have found difficulty in doing this, making it one of the more challenging ones you can attempt. Fortunately, it is only nearly impossible, which is enough reason for any die-hard Sims 4 fan to try this challenge.
The Sims 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
