Hollywood Stars Pay Their Tribute To Treat Williams
Tributes began pouring in for Williams just a few hours after he died in a motorcycle accident. The devastating news was confirmed on Monday, June 12. Hollywood stars have been paying their respects to the actor via their social media pages as well as to media outlets. Williams’ friends and costars, including Gregory Smith, Sarah Drew, Melissa Gilbert, Wendell Pierce, and Kim Cattrall, have paid homage to the late actor.
Smith, who played Williams’ son on Everwood for four seasons from 2002-2006, mourned “devastating” news in a statement to People. He added that the Hair star was a wonderful man and a brilliant actor who loved his family as well as his coworkers. The actor sent love to Williams’ family while sharing that he would miss the late actor’s stories, laugh, and passion for adventure. “He will be deeply missed,” he concluded.
Everwood costar Drew also shared her grief in a statement, stating that Williams working with Williams during her formative years in the industry had a great impact on her. Melissa Gilbert took to her Instagram page to share her tribute to the Hollywood star. Several stars, including Rosie O’Donnell, Mindy Cohn, Jonathan Bennett, Patti Stranger, Beverly Mitchell, Joely Fisher, and others, also reacted to the tragic news in the comments section of Gilbert’s post.
More Tributes Poured In
In addition to his comment on Instagram, Bennett also shared a statement with People, describing Williams as “the definition of a showman.” He added that he looked up to him as an actor and a person. Kim Cattrall also shared a photo of Williams via Twitter, expressing her shock and expressing her condolences to his family. In a separate tweet, Wendell Pierce remembered the late star for his kind, generous and supportive nature.
Hallmark paid tribute to Williams, who appeared in several of their projects over the years. Sarah Stone, John Travolta, Vanessa Hudgens, Billy Baldwin, David Allan Grier, Richard Roeper, Andrew Walker, Chris Evert, Hilaria Baldwin, and many others have also reacted to the tragic news.

How did Treat Williams Die?
Treat Williams’s death was confirmed after a motorcycle crash. Jacob Gribble, the fire chief for Dorset, Vermont, revealed that the incident happened on Monday around 5 p.m. near Dorset, Vermont. According to him, investigators believe the driver of a car was turning and did not see Williams’ motorcycle.
The actor was the only person hurt in the accident and was airlifted to a hospital in New York. The Vermont State Police also made a press release on Monday confirming the details surrounding the crash.
Williams’ career extended for decades, as he starred in many popular films, including Hair, Deadly Hero Rather, and the film series Everwood. The actor is survived by his wife, actress Pam Van Sant, and their two children, Gill and Ellie.
