Turning Point USA has an active presence on many college campuses across the country. However, the organization is not always welcomed without controversy. In several instances, members have faced backlash from students who oppose their views. A recent example occurred at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where a student described as liberal confronted members of Turning Point USA. According to footage shared online, the student strongly disagreed with the group and expressed his frustration during the exchange.
When one of the Turning Point USA members began filming, the student was already walking away. He then turned back and said, “[expletive] Charlie Kirk.” According to those involved, the confrontation had escalated even before recording began. They claimed the student had spat on some of the members prior to the video being taken. When asked about it on camera, he appeared unapologetic, spreading his arms and saying, “I don’t give a flying [expletive].” He then repeated his insult toward Charlie Kirk before continuing to walk away.
At that point, the person filming confronted the student and told him that spitting on someone could be considered assault. The student, however, did not appear concerned. He responded mockingly, saying, “Oh no.” The cameraman then asked for his name, but the student refused to provide it. Instead, he continued using profanity, saying, “Bro I don’t give a flying [expletive]. I’m going to class. Suck my [expletive]. [Expletive] them. [Expletive] Charlie Kirk. [Expletive] MAGA.” Before walking away, he stuck out his tongue and smiled at the camera. The exchange quickly spread online, with many viewers reacting to the student’s conduct during the confrontation.
People Reacting to the Unhinged Illinois Liberal Student’s Actions
Many people said they were disturbed by the student’s actions, particularly the allegation that he spat on members of Turning Point USA. Some commenters called for him to be identified and held accountable. “Not only is spitting on someone disgusting, it’s a crime! Charge this creep with assault, it’s offensive, it’s an intentional non-consensual act designed to offend, not to mention transmitting disease! Stop letting these lowlifes get away with these actions!” one person wrote. Another commented, “There comes a time where being too kind and respectful becomes a hindrance when faced with violent and mentally ill scum. They’ll always think of you as worthy of killing, regardless of how civil you try to be. Defend yourselves.” The reactions online reflected strong feelings about the confrontation and the broader tensions surrounding political activism on college campuses.
More people continued expressing outrage over the incident. “Arrest this worthless [expletive],” one person wrote. Another commented, “More of these [expletive] libs sharing – make their faces known!” Some reactions escalated further. One person wrote, “I would’ve followed Lil he she’s [expletive] and found out where the hell they went to class and then press charges.” Others criticized the student for walking away after the confrontation. “Always a coward… They always walk away instead of defend themselves and what they did… cowards… Peace,” one commenter said. The comment section reflected strong emotions on both sides, with many viewers calling for accountability over the alleged spitting incident.
