So how did VPR alumni Raquel Leviss handle filming with her ex, James Kennedy? Seeing your ex in normal day-to-day life is weird enough. Now imagine that weirdness only amplified by being on a reality TV show together? Leviss does admit that she did some meditation and soul searching before this season began. And who can blame her?
She was anxious about how the dynamic between them would be, understandably. The couple were together for five years and set to marry. Sadly, they split up in December of 2021, which brings us up to date. But how do you film a reality TV show with your ex-fiancé and have it not be weird?
VPR Alum Raquel Leviss Talks Her Ex
The good thing is, these two are actually acting like adults. Rather than make the set weirder or more toxic, they seem to now be learning to co-exist in the same space minus the drama or baggage. An act that is often far easier said than done.
“We’re being cordial,” Raquel exclusively told E! News at the Schwartz & Sandy’s opening party hosted by DailyMail.com and TMX on July 19. “I haven’t seen James since we broke up basically so last week was a new kind of situation to be in. But so far so good. I think we just want the best for each other and supporting each other in that way.”
VPR star Raquel Leviss and her former fiancé James Kennedy seem to have a pretty good handle on this, actually. The two clearly understand that life (and business) goes on. But Leviss is quick to point out that “it’s a new vibe for me and I’m finding my independence.”
As for what their season has in store? Well, she summed it up in one word:
Drama.
Yup, that’s enough to keep us tuned in.
