A video shared by the couple showed them visiting the Issaquah Farmers Market when two women, whom online commenters identified as partners, confronted them over the man’s Charlie Kirk shirt. According to the couple, the confrontation also centered on the fact that they were shopping at a Mexican bakery, with one of the women suggesting they should not be supporting the business because of their political views. The woman who did most of the confronting was later identified online as a school nurse.
In the video, the school nurse confronted the couple over their decision to shop at a Mexican bakery, asking them what country they thought the food came from. The woman in the couple calmly replied that the food came from Mexico and said the bakery owner was operating in a free country and should be able to sell her products to anyone.
The confrontation escalated when the woman in the couple told the nurse, “If you hate it here so much go somewhere else.” The nurse then replied, “I hate you,” directing the remark at both members of the couple. The woman responded by mocking her, saying, “But I thought you’re supposed to be so loving and caring.” The exchange continued, with the nurse stating, “I’m not tolerant. I’m just as tolerant as you are, [expletive].”
The confrontation continued after the man told the nurse that she needed Jesus. She responded with a profane remark referencing Jesus that many viewers interpreted as mocking Christianity. She told the man, “Jesus eat my [expletive] snack.” As the exchange escalated, the nurse moved closer to the man while he appeared to avoid engaging with her. Meanwhile, the woman accompanying the nurse encouraged the confrontation and called the couple “maggots.”
Despite appearing to be the one moving closer to the man, the nurse then asked the woman, “Why is your man all up on me? That’s so embarrassing.” The two women continued confronting the couple and again questioned why they were shopping at a Mexican bakery. The nurse’s partner also mocked Charlie Kirk, saying, “Oh my God. Thank God he’s dead.” She then raised her middle finger toward the couple before the video ended.
The couple later shared a follow-up video about the confrontation, explaining that the two women had been identified online and that one of them was a school nurse. They said they hoped the incident would encourage parents to reconsider the public school system because of people like her. The woman from the couple also clarified that she did not want the nurse to lose her job, but believed there will still be consequences for her behavior. The couple ended the video by saying they hoped the two women would “come to Jesus.” As of now, it is unclear whether the school employing the nurse has taken any action regarding the incident.
