Wasteland 3 has been considered by many as a glorious return for the Wasteland series, and isometric RPGs in general. Since its release just less than a year ago, the title has received massive praise both critically and commercially, being absolutely adored by fans around the world. As
In an official blog post from the team, they detailed what fans can expect from the Cult of Holy Detonation DLC:
Deep within the Cheyenne Mountain military complex, mutant cults worship an ancient deity they call the Holy Detonation—a nuclear explosion held in stasis. Whether god, science experiment, or accidental miracle, the Detonation’s energy could power Colorado Springs for hundreds of years, or level it in an instant. The warring cults have differing opinions on who should be allowed to honor their god, and you’re going to have to muscle your way to the altar.”
The DLC promises a lot, with several cults vying for power behind this “Holy Detonation” of an atom bomb. As you might’ve guessed though, this hope in a bomb is akin to the Covenant’s desire to activate the rings in Halo, and thus could be catastrophic. You and a few other friends must venture into the Cheyenne Mountain as such, and put a stop to all the occult forces that get in your way if you have any chance of saving Colorado Springs. Wasteland 3: Cult of Holy Detonation can be yours for $6.99, bringing the second and final expansion to Wasteland 3.
