One semirare valuable you’ll come across in Remnant 2 are Lumenite Crystals, a material intertwined with World Stones. They are not as rare as Simulacrum but aren’t as common as Scrap or variants of Iron. You’ll usually receive these glowing crystals after defeating the elite mobs that spawn as you explore. Seeing how much they sell for, you might be tempted to use them to earn extra Scrap for vendor purchases. This is a mistake we made during our first campaign, as we didn’t understand what Lumenite Crystals were for in Remnant 2.
How To Use Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2
Lumenite Crystals might net you the Scrap you need for a weapon upgrade or useful consumable. However, this is not how you should be using this valuable resource. Instead, Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2 should be saved for upgrading and crafting equipment. These include forging unique armaments, crafting specific Weapon Mods, and increasing your Relic Charges.
For instance, the Cube Gun is a weapon you’ll receive for defeating a boss you encounter in the Labyrinth. Speaking with Don at base, you’ll quickly notice that this firearm requires these crystals to be upgraded. Likewise, unlocked Weapon Mods like Tremor can only be made with these crystals. Wallace also needs Remnant 2 Lumenite Crystals to increase your Relic Charges. Therefore, selling this resource should be the last thing you consider using this material for.
How To Get Lumenite Crystals
As mentioned above, the primary way you’ll earn Lumenite Crystals is by farming the elite enemy monsters that frequently spawn during exploration. Every time you fast travel or rest at a World Stone, the enemies of a biome will respawn, including the random wave events. Of course, you could just repeatedly rest at a location in an attempt to trigger elite spawns for crystals. However, it’s best you simply progress through the areas and worlds instead, as you’ll have no shortage of encounters along the way.
