One of the many stats you can upgrade in Brotato is the Harvesting stat. However, only a few players understand what the stat actually does. Regardless of how misunderstood the stat may be, you should pay attention to Harvesting when choosing your character’s build. Not only can Harvesting help you level up a bit faster, but it can also help you collect extra resources to use at the end of each round, making it pretty valuable. Keep reading to learn about what Harvesting is in the Vampire Survivor-like Brotato. 

Harvesting in Brotato Explained

According to its in-game description, Harvesting allows you to gain additional Materials and Experience Points at the end of each round. Every time Harvesting activates at the end of a round, the stat is increased by 5%. While this may not seem like a lot, it makes a huge difference overall. Getting additional Materials and Experience can make it easier to get better weapons early in the game and increase your level fast.

There are a few ways that you can increase your Harvesting within Brotato. You can increase your Harvesting stat when you level up or use items that increase your Harvesting. You can also use a character with a higher innate Harvesting ability. The items you can use to increase Harvesting are:

  • Blood Donation
    • +40 Harvesting
    • Take +1 damage per second (does not give invulnerability time)
  • Bowler Hat
    • +15 Luck
    • +18 Harvesting
    • -5% Attack Speed
    • -3% Crit Chance
  • Crown
    • Harvesting increases by an additional +8% at the end of a wave (stacking)
  • Fertilizer
    • +8 Harvesting
    • -1 Melee Damage
  • Little Frog
    • +20% Pickup Range
    • +10 Harvesting
    • -5% Dodge
  • Peaceful Bee
    • +4% Dodge
    • +4 Harvesting
    • -1 Melee Damage
    • -1 Ranged Damage
  • Tractor
    • +40 Harvesting
    • -8% Damage
  • Wheat
    • +4 Melee Damage
    • +2 Ranged Damage
    • +10 Harvesting
    • -2 Elemental Damage
  • Wheelbarrow
    • -1 Armor
    • +16 Harvesting
  • White Flag
    • +5 Harvesting
    • -5% Enemies

Additionally, there are many items that also decrease your Harvesting stat. If you are trying to increase your Harvesting stat in Brotato, you should avoid using these items:

  • Bat
    • +2% Life Steal
    • -2 Harvesting
  • Blood Leech
    • +2% Life Steal
    • +2 HP Regeneration
    • -4 Harvesting
  • Charcoal
    • +1 Elemental Damage
    • +2 Melee Damage
    • -2 Harvesting
  • Mouse
    • +5% Life Steal
    • +10% Enemies
    • -5 Harvesting
  • Rip and Tear
    • Enemies have a +20% chance to explore to 10 + 50% of your damage when they die
    • -12 Harvesting
  • Spider
    • +12% Damage
    • +6% Attack Speed for every different weapon you have
    • -3% Dodge
    • -5 Harvesting
