Since boredom will get you faster than a zombie bite in Project Zomboid, it is important to have a few means to entertain yourself while trying to survive. VHS tapes are useful not only to reduce your boredom but also to increase some of your skills. However, finding these items is easier said than done. Given how spread the loot of the game is and how scarce some of it can be, you’ll need to search far and wide across Knox County. But to make the search much easier, we’ll tell you the best places to find VHS tapes in Project Zomboid.
VHS Tapes Locations in Project Zomboid
[Updated on September 8, 2024 – Updated images, links, and information]
There are two ways to find VHS tapes in Project Zomboid. The first is stumbling upon them as you search houses, storage units, and convenience stores. These places won’t have a lot of them, but there are chances you’ll find a few tapes. However, if you want a better shot at obtaining this media, you can head to Hit Vids!, which is the game’s VHS store. In unmodded Project Zomboid, there are six Hit Vids! stores; here are the locations:
Location | Coordinates |
---|---|
Muldraugh. In the southern part of the town. If you take the main highway going to March Ridge, you can find the store below a restaurant and next to a gas station. | 10609×10452 |
Louisville. You can find the next store in the northeastern corner of The Grand Ohio Mall. It’s between a computer and a liquor store. | 13428×1291 |
Louisville. If you head to the northmost part of Louisville, you’ll find a mall next to the coast. The VHS store is inside this mall between an American Eats store and a Yuri clothes store. | 12795×1212 |
Louisville. The last store in Louisville is a bit tricky to find because it is in the city’s suburbs. Assuming you enter Louisville through the road coming from West Point, take a right when you spot the horsetrack, you’ll find the store at a small mall next to a restaurant. | 12428×2820 |
March Ridge. Another store is in the town that almost no one visits. If you enter March Ridge through the main road, take a left at the housing district, and you’ll eventually hit the business district; it’s hard to miss. The store is across from a laundromat. | 10164×12733 |
Riverside. The last store and my personal choice as I feel is the easiest to find, is in Riverside. You’ll have to head to the west side of town, almost at the edge of Riverside, until you find a small mall. The store is next to a restaurant and below a children’s park. | 6199×5345 |
