The boat is crucial for traversing across the lakes and rivers inย Resident Evil 4 Remake, but to get the vehicle working, you must first find boat fuel. With this resource, Leon cannot travel to specific parts of the map essential for progressing the story. For instance, reaching the Small or Large Cave Shrines is only possible by riding Leon’s boat to cross the Lake. Fortunately, the boat fuel inย RE4 Remakeย is at a fixed location, so there’s no need to diligently search for it. However, you will encounter several enemies along the way.ย

To find fuel for theย boat inย Resident Evil 4ย Remake, you’ll need to make your way to the western end of the Fish Farm, the area north of the Quarry. Starting from the wooden walkway near the boat’s small pier, you’ll need to climb up the nearby scaffolding and enter the mineshaft tunnel entrance on the second level.ย

After exiting the small tunnel, you’ll find yourself at the starting point of theย Fish Farm. Fall through the hole on the right into the shallow water and wade across the muddy swamp to encounter your first enemy, a bull-headed brute. If you don’t have enough ammunition with your firearms to take him out, consider using stealthier tactics to defeat this formidable foe.

However, do note that the entire area is filled with slow-moving zombies guarding the pathways. Using flash grenades to quickly get past hostiles without confrontation might be a safe strategy. Watch out for the tripwire trap near the easternmost area of the Fish Farm.ย

Once you’ve reached the eastern dead end of the Fish Farm, you will find a rickety cabin, according to gameplay by YouTuberย Trophy Tom. The wooden door will be locked, so you’ll need to use brute force and kick open the entryway. If enemies are still pursuing you, use the doorway as a means to stifle their access, preventing them from overwhelming you. The site is safe for you to loot, investigate the back portion of the interior to find a red canister of boat fuel inย Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Resident Evil 4 Remakeย is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStations 4|5.
