In Warframe, a big part of your progress in the game relies on upgrading your character and items. To do that you have to first find the necessary ingredients. In the world of Warframe, these items can sometimes be found only in a certain location, while other items are in multiple locations. Purple Velocipods is one of the creatures that only appear in a single location. In this guide, you can learn where to find Purple Velocipods in Warframe and how to use them.

Purple Velocipods are considered rare creatures in Warframe that are necessary for upgrading, and also crafting, the Helminth Segment. The only location you can find these creatures are the surface of the Cambion Drift. This is an open world located on Deimos and to unlock its part of the open world you have to complete the Heart of Deimos quest.

If you have already completed that quest, select Deimos and choose the Cambion Drift stage. Before embarking on this journey, make sure to have a hard and tough Warframe since the enemies in this location tend to attack in large groups.

Once you got there, open your map and look for a location called Undulatum. Once you got there it is time to look for some Purple Velocipods. As the name suggests, they have a purple spine on their back, making it easier to track and find. You can use the Tranq rifle or any other weapon to kill them and then collect the resources.

It is best to use the Tranq rifle since you won’t be damaging Velocipods and therefore can get more resources. If you use normal weapons you will get fewer resources which will make the procedure longer. You can find enough Purple Velocipods to help you build the Helminth or upgrade any other item you want.

Also, make sure to check our guide on how to get Free Styanax and Medjay Predasite in the game.

Warframe is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
