Shuppet is a Ghost-type pocket monster of the Amorphous Egg Group in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that evolves into Banette after reaching a specific level. This small ghost offers both high Atk and SpAtk, with its evolved form providing even superior values for these two stats. As a result, Shuppet and Banette are highly effective damage-dealing combatants against Normal-, Fighting-, Bug-, and Poison-type pocket monster opponents. The members of the Shuppet family also have a chance of dropping Shuppet Scraps when defeated or caught. These scraps can be used as crafting materials to create specific TMs at Pokécenters.

Catching Shuppet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Shuppet can be found in four locations on the Paldean world map in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. More specifically, Trainers can encounter this Ghost-type pocket monster within Areas One, Two, and Three of the East Province and South Province (Area Three). Another detail to note is that Shuppet only appears during a specific time of day in-game.

Where to find Sandygast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Shuppet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet only appears at night near the outskirts of settlements in the Areas listed above. Nighttime in-game does not refer to the time at which a user is playing since Scarlet and Violet do not follow real-world hours. Instead, the games have their own 30-minute day-and-night cycles that elapse passively and cannot be actively changed. Therefore, players will need to wait until it becomes night in Paldea before searching the habitats where Shuppet potentially will spawn.
Since waiting around in one area until nightfall is not something every Trainer has time to do, it is recommended that players complete other quests or activities and use a Pokécenter fast-travel spot near Shuppet’s habitats after the in-game day ends. Checking the mini-map for Shuppet icons will help Trainers know whether the Ghost-type Pokémon has spawned in the zone. If players are at a similar level as a Wild Shuppet they encounter, they can use pocket monsters with Ghost- or Dark-type Moves to weaken the Shuppet before attempting a capture. After catching a Shuppet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers can evolve it into Banette after the ghost reaches Level 37.
