The Unstable Bow makes its return in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, but you have to find it first. This latest update to the epic game is delighting players by adding new weapons and unvaulting old ones. The Unstable Bow is one of the unvaulted ones showing its face again after quite some time. We’ll show you where you should look to track down the Bow so you can use it as soon as possible.

Location of the Wild Card NPC

Gone are many of the weapons seen in Chapter 3. Now, we’re dealing with a host of new and unvaulted guns as well as new usable items to find. Originally seen back in Chapter 2: Season 6, players who wish to use the unvaulted Unstable Bow must track down its location first.

Thankfully, you can purchase the Unstable Bow in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1 from one person. This makes it far easier to track down each match. You must purchase the Unstable Bow from the Wild Card NPC. The Wild Card is found inside a castle that sits west of The Citadel POI. We’ve marked their location on the map above.

However, there is a possibility that Wild Card will move around. Some players have noted finding him at Shattered Slabs around the area marked on the map below:

Meanwhile, others headed to Breakwater Bay to find the Unstable Bow in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1. We’ve highlighted that area below:

So, if you can’t find him at one spot, consider checking the other two.

After finding the Unstable Bow in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, you must pay 500 gold bars. It’s not steep of a price, so any player should be able to get the weapon with ease.

If you haven’t used the Unstable Bow before, there is something you should realize beforehand. The weapon lives up to its name of being unstable. It’s easy to shoot, and it’s just what you will shoot out that’s random. When you fire the Unstable Bow, it can have a randomized effect based on any of the other Bows in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1.

So, in one instance, you can fire off a Mechanical Shockwave Bow with the Unstable Bow. The next shot can be anything from a Primal Stink Bow or a Primal Flame Bow.

The Unstable Bow isn’t trustworthy by any means, so there is no real planning when you use this. However, it may be one of the more fun Bows to make the game more exciting, funny, and unpredictable.

So, hurry up and head to the Wild Card and purchase your Unstable Bow now.

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1 is available on PC, PS5, and PS4 systems, Xbox One and Series systems, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
