Love is Blind fans have accused season 3 star, Zanab Jaffrey of being insecure. Although building a connection with someone is always easier if you meet physically, however, Love Is Blind season 3 stars Zanab Jaffrey and Cole Barnett struck up an instant connection in the pods. Their quick chemistry caught viewers’ attention, and it looked like the two would end as one of the best couples in the series.
Unfortunately, when the two finally met in person, cracks began to appear in their once-budding relationship. Things eventually peaked during the dramatic finale, as Zanab said no to Cole at the altar — bringing an end to their short relationship. Zanab gave Cole a scathing speech about how he disrespected her and made her feel small during their short-term relationship.
In the show’s aftermath, the flight attendant continued to speak out against Cole and even claimed he body-shamed her throughout the filming of season 3. Cole kept mum since the end of the relationship, but he finally broke his silence during an appearance on the Lauren Interviews podcast. The relator claimed much of what transpired between him and Zanab was taken out of context due to her sensitive and sometimes erratic behavior.
Cole added he was walking on eggshells throughout the relationship, but the most shocking revelation was that he and Zanab had mutually agreed not to walk down the aisle. Cole also claimed her speech surprised him, and he felt like she did it to hurt him. Many of the show’s viewers had several unanswered questions following the duo’s split. However, the recent revelations have caused some of them to turn on Zanab.

Love Is Blind viewers have recently revisited Zanab and Cole’s rocky relationship. Although Cole isn’t exactly blameless, Zanab’s attitude particularly stood as the reason their relationship never worked out. One fan, u/bigwatermelonhead, recently started a conversation on Reddit. The user thoroughly analyzed Zanab’s attitude and described her as the “most insecure person I’ve ever seen on TV.”
The original poster also accused Zanab of constantly projecting her insecurities on Cole and waiting for him to talk her out of them. The OP claimed Cole was not as malicious as she had tried to paint him and ended by saying Zanab would find it hard to have a healthy relationship. Many of the users agreed with the OP’s line of thought and went on to give other facts to bolster their claims. One of the users wrote:
“Because she’s a WASP. She literally baits him to say something she will take offense to. No matter what his answer is, he will lose. Because she doesn’t allow him free thought. She plants loaded comment, he takes it, and she will spin it around on him in a nasty case of DARVO.”

Netflix dropped Love Is Blind: After The Altar on February 10, and it has given fans a bit more clarity on some of the things that transpired between Zanab and Cole. Unfortunately for Zanab, it has only reinforced the belief amongst a section of the show’s fans that she is a narcissist. Fans have been particularly disappointed with her failure to apologize to Cole for how she embarrassed him at the altar.
One of the commenters even pointed out that she would remain a terrible person until she held herself more accountable for her actions. Some users mentioned how Zanab manipulated Cole into apologizing to her and even “groveling” in front of everybody. Still, she did not deem it fit to apologize to him for the hurt she caused him.
Another group of fans highlighted her behavior since the show ended and her determination to pull Cole down at every opportunity. They noted that most of her accusations against him happened off-camera, which is pretty challenging to prove. Cole and Zanab were doomed to fail from the moment they began their relationship in person, but the way they have unraveled has been shocking to watch for many of their early fans.
