The festival runs from June 21st to July 5th, and during this time, new activities, achievements, items, and a seasonal boss will be available in the game. We will tell you everything about the Midsummer Fire Festival in World of Warcraft, including bonfire locations, vendors, and many more.
World of Warcraft Midsummer Fire Festival Guide
During the festival, there will be many different activities to take part in to get a lot of emotions and valuable loot. Bonfires have appeared in Azeroth that need to be honored or extinguished to complete achievements and earn Burning Blossoms. If bonfires are nearby while completing new quests, you should visit them. Also, Midsummer Merchants and Suppliers will appear in the game where you can get interesting limited items in the theme of the Midsummer Fire Festival for Burning Blossoms. You can get the most Burning Blossoms by completing quests and dailies, of which there are quite a few during the festival.
Midsummer Fire Festival Bonfires
Bonfires during the festival are scattered all over Azeroth and have many activities, quests, and achievements associated with them. The main thing to do with them is to extinguish enemy bonfires and honor friendly ones, and they can also be stolen from enemy capital cities.
You can honor a bonfire by talking to an NPC and when you do, you will receive 5 Burning Blossoms. Desecrating an enemy bonfire is a little more dangerous as you will become a participant in PVP for 5 minutes, but you will receive 10 Burning Blossoms for it.
You can honor or desecrate each fire only once, but you can set fire to the fire that the enemy has extinguished an unlimited number of times, but you will need Burning Blossoms. Here’s a list of all the WoW Midsummer Fire Festival bonfire locations:

Midsummer Fire Festival Seasonal Boss
To fight Frost Lord Ahune, you need to use the Dungeon Finder to get in the queue, but your character must be at least level 10. The boss will be located in Slave Pens and he will be alone in the dungeon, just like in other festive events. Each player can summon him once a day, so you can summon him as many times as you have in your group and one additional time on Heroic.
The boss is difficult, so it is recommended to fight him at least at level 70. He has 2 phases and in the first phase he receives 75% less damage, so at this time, you should focus on mobs. After a minute and a half, the damage reduction disappears, and at this time you need to give up all your efforts to destroy him. If you don’t have time, Frost Lord Ahune will return to the first phase.
When you defeat him for the first time, you will receive the Ice the Frost Lord achievement. Also, once a day for defeating him you can get a loot bag that will contain Burning Blossoms, high-level weapons, and a Companion Pet. But the weapons that drop from Frost Lord Ahune require level 80, so if your level is lower, you will not be able to get them.
Midsummer Fire Festival Achievements
During the festival, you can get different achievements and when you complete all of them you will get the meta achievement. For the alliance, it is Flame Warden and for the Horde, it is Flame Keeper.
- The Fires of Azeroth: You will need to honor all available horde or alliance bonfires, depending on who you are.
- Desecration of the Horde/Alliance: You will complete this achievement when you extinguish all the bonfires of the enemy faction.
- Ice the Frost Lord: To get this achievement you need to defeat the seasonal boss Frost Lord Ahune.
- King of the Fire Festival: To get this achievement, you need to complete the quest A Thief’s Reward in which you will need to steal fire from each of the four enemy capital cities.
- Burning Hot Pole Dance: You’ll need to buy a Midsummer set from a Midsummer Fire Festival vendor and dance in it for 60 seconds on the ribbon pole.
- Torch Juggler: You need to buy 10 torches from the Midsummer Fire Festival vendor. Then go to old Dalaran and juggle 40 torches in 15 seconds.
