Wuthering Waves May Include New Co-Op Mechanics to Compete Against Other Gacha Games

Among the most recent games on the market, multiplayer possibilities are limited. For example, in Honkai Star Rail, “playing with friends” only involves lending characters to other players but playing alone. Or as in Genshin Impact, in which users can travel to their friend’s worlds to challenge bosses, domains, or collect materials, although they limit the number of characters in the teams. However, according to new leaks, Kuro Games may completely rework the co-op system within Wuthering Waves. These are still only rumors, but the Rovers are excited about this great news.

In Wuthering Waves, users can explore their own worlds and make a few bosses together. As in Genshin Impact, your characters are limited when you reach a friend’s game. In WuWa solo mode, teams work with three characters. However, in a cooperative mode, you can invite up to 3 friends, and each one can only bring one Resonator. If there are only two players in multiplayer, the owner of the world can have two units, and the guest can use only one more to complete the team. Leaks about this co-op redesign only discuss the fact that players could have their entire team in Wuthering Waves. Each player will have three available Resonators, like in the single-player mode.

The community reacted positively to these rumors and added that they hope Kuro Game will introduce other mechanics. Many more would like to be able to challenge more bosses, domains, or a mode like Tower of Adversity and Depths of Illusive Realm with their friends. Also, a popular comment in the community is that if this change comes to Wuthering Waves, it could encourage other companies to improve their systems, too. It’s about time that WuWa changes how it handles its multiplayer mode, and we hope to see changes soon.
