This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you’re just starting out, figuring out what the best weapons to get first in Enshrouded can be a bit tricky. There are quite a few options when you first start, but which one will be the best for you? It depends on a few different things. What type of combat styles do you enjoy? Melee? Range? Maybe you have a thing for magic. That said, you also want to consider the type of character you want to build. If you’re going for a Stealth build, certain weapons will be better than others. The same goes for Melee builds and even magic ones.

5. Spiritual Cane

The Spiritual Cane is by far the best early game Staff weapon for magic builds. However, until you have your hands on a decent source of Staff Charges, you’ll have a difficult time keeping up with ammo for your Spiritual Cane Staff. However, it hits much harder than Wands, and can be useful for healing as well as just dealing damage.

4. Bow

The bow is a pretty good weapon to start out with, but it has its downfalls. To begin with, the Bow requires you to have a steady supply of arrows made up at all times, which can be rough. Additionally, you can only effectively fight from a distance. However, if you can be sure you have a spot to safely fire from, the Bow can deal massive amounts of damage, making it one of the hardest-hitting early-game weapons.

3. Wand

The Wand is a pretty okay weapon to start out with. It can deal damage at short to mid-range, and fire ice magic shots at opposing enemies. It also doesn’t require you to have any extra resources or materials to use it, making it rather convenient for a centerpiece in an early magic build. Over time, you’ll find better wands, but I’ve found that fire wands do much more damage than the others.

2. Spiked Club

The Spiked Club is relatively easy to make, only requiring Nails and Wood Logs, which can both be collected quickly. However, I’ve noticed that early-game enemies take much more damage from piercing weapons. However, a Blunt weapon like the Spiked Club can still do a number on anything that comes your way.

1. Scrappy Sword

The Scrappy Sword is easily the best weapon to get as soon as you really get started in Enshrouded, and before you have much time to really put into exploring the map and unlocking new items. When you first start, your enemies will be rather weak, and extremely easy to take down in close combat with a weapon like this one.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
