Ska Studios and Devoured Studios have announced that Salt and Sacrifice, the sequel to the 2D Soulslike Salt and Sanctuary, will be released on PC via the Epic Games Store in Early 2022 for $19.99. The game is going to launch simultaneously for PS4, PS5, and PC. Among one of many platformers inspired by FromSoftware brutal action RPG, Salt and Sacrifice features a dark world inspired by Scandinavian folklore. Uncover the mystery through savage combat alone or engage in multiplayer modes; either in high-stakes player-vs-player experiences or traverse the realm with a co-op partner using the password system or summon a temporary ally in online quick play sessions.
Salt and Sacrifice tells the story of the decaying Altarstone Kingdom, where twisted Mages spread corruption through the land. As chaos descends, only the doomed warriors of Marked Inquisitors can stand against the Mages and their wicked Magic. Hunt and destroy them to turn their husks into powerful weapons and armor. Cast runic arts upon each piece of equipment to endow powerful abilities. Choose from and customize eight available classes, from Fighter, Cleric, to Sage, all with their own looks and powers.
Ska Studios founder James Silva in a statement promises that Salt and Sacrifice will be the perfect sequel and a worthy entry to the beloved Salt and Sanctuary Soulslike indie series.
Salt and Sacrifice builds upon everything players loved about Salt and Sanctuary. Expect even more challenges to overcome both in single-player and online play when Salt and Sacrifice arrives on PC via the Epic Game Store, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 next year!”
