How to Get Luvdisc Scales in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To get Luvdisc Scales in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must defeat or capture the most romantic Pokémon, Luvdisc, in their habitats. The cute pink Pokemon with a heart-shaped body loves to swim in the warm southern waters of Paldea. At the same time, Luvdisc is a marine fish and does not like lakes or rivers. So you can only find it in the following locations: East Paldean Sea, South Paldean Sea, and West Paldean Sea. The bright pink color is noticeable from afar, so finding this Pokemon is not difficult. But be aware that your Koraidon or Miraidon must be able to swim, so defeat a couple of Titans to get this ability for your Pokémon.
It is worth noting that Luvdisc is a weak Pokémon, but by choosing the right opponent, you will be able to farm Luvdisc Scales more efficiently. Since Luvdisc is a Water-type Pokémon, it is weak against Grass and Electric-type moves and takes 2x damage from these. At the same time, you shouldn’t use Pokémon with Fire, Water, ice, and Steel-type attacks, as they are only half effective.

By defeating or capturing Luvdisc, you will receive 1-3 Luvdisc Scales and can use these to craft TMs. As we said at the beginning, using this and several other materials, you can craft TM145 (Water Pledge). To do this, visit the Pokemon Center and select the appropriate recipe on TM Machines:
- Shellder Pearl x3
- Luvdisc Scales x3
- Alomolola Mucus x3
