Farming materials in Tears of the Kingdom is more important than in its predecessor. While in the previous game, you got these materials to cook things, get new dyes, or upgrade armor, they play a new role in the sequel. If you want to try some crazy fusions with your weapons, you might want to aim for some rare materials. Some are only found in the depths of Hyrule or way above the clouds. Today, we’ve prepared a guide for one of the rarest materials in the game. Here we’ll tell you how to get Frox Fingernails in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Get Frox Fingernails in Tears of the Kingdom
If you thought Jedi Survivor was the only game with annoying frog-like monsters, Zelda’s new entry just joined the fray. Frox is a new type of enemy that you’ll find in the Depths of Hyrule. It is a large frog-like foe that carries some Zonaite on its back. When you engage the enemy, go for the Zonaite, its weak spot. Killing it isn’t hard, provided you have cover and a good blunt weapon. If you defeat this enemy, you’ll get several items, including the new Frox Fingernails in Tears of the Kingdom.

What do Frox Fingernails do?
Like any other item in the game, you can fuse it or use it for elixirs. Frox Fingernails provide great attack power if you fuse them with your arrows, but we think it is a waste. Instead, you can use them to create elixirs or fuse them with an already powerful weapon to increase its damage more. Whatever you choose, the game allows you to experiment as you see fit, so don’t be afraid to go crazy with Frox Fingernails in Tears of the Kingdom.
This is all we have on how to get Frox Fingernails in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. While you can fight the enemy that has them at any time, we recommend you prepare yourself first. Even if the fight isn’t the hardest in the game, you should bring some elixirs, food, blunt weapons, and something to light the underground. If you don’t bring these things, you’re in for a long and tedious fight. Yet, Nintendo knocked it out of the park in terms of combat this time, so we’re happy to see new enemies challenging us at every turn.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is on the Nintendo Switch.
