The Bachelor‘s Zach Shallcross has had enough of the reality TV lifestyle. The TV star is ready to quit reality television altogether. Being in the limelight constantly is not an easy feat. It is not surprising that Shallcross needs a break; what is surprising is what he wants to do instead. The reality TV star recently shared that he wants to trade his on-camera lifestyle for an average job to have a sense of normalcy.
The Bachelor Zach Shallcross Wants a Regular Job After Starring in Reality TV
Shallcross is tired of the reality TV lifestyle and is attempting to swap it for a regular job. In an interview with TMZ, the 26-year-old revealed he is ready to leave reality TV behind. He shared that he wants to have a real career again. He wants back a sense of normalcy, which has changed since doing reality TV.
Shallcross also admitted that he considered returning to everyday life even while filming The Bachelor last year. After starring on the show, Shallcross said he was making appearances on behalf of the show, which made it difficult to “get back to normalcy.” Now that he has more time on his hands, he is on the lookout for a job.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Shallcross attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2014 to 2019, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration. The reality TV star was a senior cloud technology account executive at Oracle, where he began working after his graduation in 2019. The reality star shared that he still wants to work in that industry and would like to work for a company like Microsoft. He has posted on LinkedIn and already has some job offers.
Shallcross’ Journey To Starring On The Show
Bachelor Nation first met Shallcross on season 19 of 2022 when he appeared as a contestant in Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey’s season of The Bachelorette. His whirlwind romance with Recchia took a turn for the worse after The Bachelorette’s Fantasy Suite episode. One major cause of the demise of their romance was their age difference. Shallcross was 25 at the time, while Rechhia was 26.
In 2023, he became the lead for season 27 of The Bachelor, which aired earlier this year. He began his journey to love and proposed to Kaith Biggar in the finale. The two are still together. Shallcross revealed at the time that his season of The Bachelor would be the most emotional season the show’s ever had. Shallcross clarified that he did not go on the reality dating show for fame but to find love. Now, he is ready to return to regular with a 9 to 5 job.
However, his journey in the entertainment industry has not ended. The former tech executive revealed that the entertainment industry is not completely off the table for him as he still has one aspiration. He shared that his dream is to become a voice actor like his uncle Patrick Warburton, who has done almost 300 episodes of Family Guy.
