The White Lotus will assign you with “Vondel Investigation,” a faction mission that involves using the laptop you acquired. You’ll take this laptop into the Vondel map and upload confidential data from a Russian hard drive. The mission objectives of the “Vondel Investigation” are straightforward yet can be tricky to complete without extra guidance.
Where Is the Shadow Company Laptop on Ashika Island?
Suppose you have not retrieved the Shadow Company Laptop during “Shadow Company Intel.” In that case, you can find the item on the second floor of the Science Center on Ashika Island. It will be sitting atop the desk near the locked Research Center Room.
What Are the Objectives of the Vondel Investigation Mission?
To complete the “Vondel Investigation” mission in Warzone 2.0‘s DMZ mode, you must perform the following:
- Infil into Vondel with the Shadow Company Laptop.
- Find and take the Russian hard drive from the Graveyard in Vondel.
- Use the laptop to upload the Russian Hard Drive to Shadow Company at an upload station.
Where To Find the Russian Hard Drive in Vondel
As the objectives state, you must find the hard drive in the Graveyard, a section of Vondel’s map. The Graveyard is on the same stretch of land as the Mall. It can be found north of the Zoo and south of the Castle. The Russian hard drive is hidden behind a sizeable mausoleum on the western side of the cemetery. It’s rather small, but the drive’s white highlight should make it somewhat easier to spot.
How to Upload Russian Hard Drive to a Vondel Upload Station
There are multiple upload stations across DMZ’s Vondel, and it doesn’t matter which you choose to complete the “Vondel Investigation.” For instance, one can be found atop the Castle, while another sits on the rooftop of the Stadium’s northern section. If you have an active intel mission, the location of one of these stations should be marked for you.

The upload process is the same as other maps; you must wait several seconds for the station to upload the data. We recommend you find an upload station where the Threat level is Low to avoid any inconvenient skirmishes while completing your mission. Once the upload has finished, “Vondel Investigation” will be completed, and you can exfile in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ.
