Crunchyroll announced that it will begin streaming the English dub for Horimiya: The Missing Pieces. With this announcement came an English dub of the My Tiny Senpai and the two-part anime film Free! The Final Stroke. The dub for Horimiya is scheduled to release on Saturday, July 15th. The Horimiya: The Missing Pieces anime will cover stories in the original manga that have yet to be adapted.
The English dub cast for Horimiya: The Missing Pieces includes:
- Marisa Duran as Hori
- Alejandro Saab as Miyamura
- Zeno Robinson as Ishikawa
- Anairis Quinones as Yoshikawa
- Y. Chang as Iura
Catlin Glass is directing the English dub of The Missing Pieces along with Emi Lo and Paul Cline. Cline is also credited as the ADR engineer. Omoinotake performs the opening theme song, “Shiawase.” This translates to “Happiness.” Ami Sakaguchi performs the ending theme song “URL.” Horimiya: The Missing Piece will adapt stories in the original manga that the previous anime had not yet done.
Horimiya: The Missing Pieces: Dubbing A High School Romance
Currently, Yen Press publishes the manga in English. The base story for Horimiya revolves around the popular girl Hori and the average Miyamura. Hori’s classmates all think she’s a frivolous girl, but in reality, she’s plain and pragmatic. Many think Miyamura is a gloomy fanboy, but he’s actually a tattoo-covered young man with a rebel streak. When these two unexpectedly meet, a tale of romance starts.
HERO and Daisuke Hagiwara are the authors of the original manga. Masashi Ishihama (Spy x Family) at Studio Cloverworks directed the first Horimiya anime adaptation. Hagiwara published an epilogue manga chapter for the manga in July 2021. There is also a live-action series of the story that premiered in February 2021.
The original Horimiya anime began airing in Japan on April 22nd and ran for a total of 13 episodes. Funimation featured the anime as it aired in Japan, along with an English dub.
