Honkai Star Rail launched very successfully, mainly due to everything HoYoverse learned from Genshin Impact. One of the things it learned was the story’s pacing and how it needed to be well-written to attract more audience. While Genshin Impact’s first version had a somewhat flimsy story, Honkai Star Rail went all out, and it continues like that, thanks to its fantastic additional content. Recently, Honkai Star Rail premiered its ‘Ichor of Two Dragons’ animated short, which shows many things about Dan Heng and Dan Feng, which gives more lore to support what we saw in the game’s 1.2 version.
Ichor of Two Dragons Features Dan Heng and Dan Feng in Honkai Star Rail
In the beautifully animated ‘Ichor of Two Dragons short of Honkai Star Rail, we can get a glimpse at Dan Heng and Dan Feng’s relationship, so to speak. Ever since we got hints of Dan Heng’s true identity and his relation with everything going on with the Xianzhou, we knew the 4-star wind character wasn’t too fond of what happened in that place, so much so that he wanted to escape to find a new path alongside the Astral Express Crew.

For those who thought the story of version 1.2 ended abruptly, the ‘Ichor of Two Dragons’ animated short of Honkai Star Rail is a perfect bonus addition to the interesting story surrounding Dan Heng and other topics in the Xianzhou.
Now that the cat, or rather, dragon, is out of the bag, we know Dan Heng is the Imbibitor Lunae, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t happy with that. He still struggles with that title and is always looking for a way to remain faithful to the Astral Express. Yet, we’ll have to wait and see what HoYoverse plans for the game’s story. In the meantime, get ready to pull for Imbibitor Lunae, who will debut on the 1.3 version of the game.
