Tensions are high and you are face to face with the Crimson Fleet‘s Captain at the very top of the Kreet Research Lab. Now, you have to decide if you want to attack and kill Brogan or persuade him instead. Each outcome has its pros and cons, so you’re going to want to consider them before you move forward. Considering that, we are here to answer whether should you kill or persuade Brogan in Starfield.
Should You Kill or Persuade Brogan?
Without having to divulge too much detail, it would be in your best interest to attack and kill Brogan instead of persuading him. At the end of the mission, you’ll still be able to leave without too much of an issue from the Crimson Fleet, marking the end of your main interaction with them for the most part. You will also end up with a much higher payday from the different things that could potentially drop as a result of killing him. If you want a little bit more of an explanation of what happens if you decide to kill or persuade Brogan, we detailed those below.
What Happens If You Kill Brogan
In Starfield, Brogan can be killed instead. You can do so before you even talk to him by blasting him using the gas canisters that are behind him and his security. You can also fight him as a natural part of the dialogue with him by choosing anything with the Attack option. When we did it, we got the following loot off of his body:
- Bashing Rattler
- 1437 Credits
- 30 rounds of .27 caliber ammo
- 40 rounds of 6.5mm ammo
- Modified Maelstrom
What Happens If You Persuade Brogan
If you try to persuade Brogan instead, then you’ll need to successfully pass a persuasion check. Doing so will lead Brogan to understand that Constellation isn’t trying to keep the Frontier, the spaceship that Barrett gave you at the beginning of the game, because it holds nothing special on it. In fact, there isn’t any treasure on it besides what you’ve decided to store from your trip up to this point. Considering this, he will ask that you leave the area and that if he ever sees you again, he’ll decide to kill you then. As we explained, persuading him won’t give you anything as a reward. However, you can live with yourself another day because you didn’t decide to kill someone for any other reason other than because you really wanted to.
