Diablo 4 Season 2 is here and have brought along the Blood Harvest event. This vampire-themed event added various new items and features to the game, making the hack-and-slash’s endgame mechanic even deeper and richer. One of them is the fearsome Vampiric Powers skills that can be added to your arsenal against Lillith’s minion. Without further ado, let’s learn how Blood Harvest works and all the things you need to look out for during the event.
Diablo 4 Blood Harvest Events: Everything You Need to Know
Blood Harvest Basics
Blood Harvest is a new map-wide event that works just like Helltides. A region in Sanctuary that’s currently running a Blood Harvest event will be colored green and last for one hour, as seen above. When one ends, it will be automatically replaced with a new one in another region. Hover over the green icon to see the remaining time of the event. You can also check the module on the top right of your screen as you enter a Blood Harvest for the timer.
While it works quite similarly to Helltides, you don’t have to reach World Tier 3/Nightmare. Blood Harvest will always remain active and can be accessed straight up even at Level 1. As you advance through World Tiers or difficulty levels, Blood Harvest difficulty will also scale up instead. Once you reach Tier 3/Nightmare though, Blood Harvest and Helltides will be active at the same time.
Complete this unique activity to acquire XP, new loot, new currencies, and fresh Vampiric Powers.
New Currencies and Loot in Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest
There’s another difference in Diablo 4 Blood Harvest compared to Helltides. All items including special currencies you obtain during the event will be permanently saved in your inventory. They won’t disappear between Blood Harvest spawn.
- Seekers Keys: When exploring Blood Harvest-affected areas, you will find prisoners in Locked Cages and Seeker Caches. You will need the Seekers Keys to interact with them.
- Seeker Cache: A coffin-like loot chest. Opening one will reward you with loot, Potent Blood, and at least one Standalone Pact.
- Potent Blood: Used to unlock random Vampiric Powers and upgrade them to Level 3 in the Sanguine Circle menu.
- Blood Lures: This currency is needed to summon Blood Seekers through a Pedestal or Sanguine Altar. Defeat them to obtain Seeker Keys and Potent Blood.
- Sanguine Altar: Scattered all over a Blood Harvest area, this is used to summon Blood Seekers. It costs 15 Blood Lures to call Blood Seekers with the Altar.
- Blood Lure Pedestal: Used to summon Blood Seekers and three Bosses. They are Tidao, Xereph, and Onore of the Ancients. To locate the Pedestal, go directly to the Blood Harvest icon on your map. One Pedestal needs 50 Blood Lures and you have to activate three of them to summon the enemies, costing a total of 150 Blood Lures. Nevertheless, other players can contribute to this effort so grab some friends or wait for help from randoms!
However, do keep in mind that Potent Blood can only be used on Seasonal Realms! Any characters in the Eternal Realms aka regular ones cannot access any of the Season of Blood seasonal content.
Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest World Events
Random World Events are a staple of Diablo 4, giving you chances to obtain more loot and XP while farming. As you beat down Blood Seekers and other unholy enemies, you’ll encounter them too during Blood Harvests. Currently, there are seven known random World Events that you can complete.

What’s more, some of the event’s objectives are connected to the Tree of Whisper objectives as well! Because of that, always check your active Whispers of the Dead on your map. Completing Whispers on a Blood Harvest will also reward you with event-exclusive items.
Hunter’s Acclaim
Completing activities in Blood Harvest can raise your Hunter’s Acclaim tier. There are 18 tiers of Hunter’s Acclaim, all offering unique rewards. Including gear, items, money, and even Vampiric Powers. For the list of all rewards, check out our Hunter’s Acclaim Guide.
Hunter’s Acclaim boards are located in all of the five major hub cities. They’re marked by a new icon with a green leaf on it. Below are the events and activities that can help you raise your Hunter’s Acclaim.

Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest
Last but not least, the main attraction of the Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest event, Vampiric Powers.
Simply put, Vampiric Powers are 22 new unique skills that are obtained from the season’s story quests, Blood Harvest, and Potent Blood. But consuming Potent Blood from the “Season” tab in the inventory menu will give you a random Vampiric Power. Potent Blood is also used to upgrade those Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest skills up to Level 3.
It doesn’t end there though. As seen in the menu, you can only assign up to five out of 22 Vampiric Powers on the Sanguine Circle. The skills are class agnostic, which means they’re all additional skills that are accessible to all classes.
To activate a Vampiric Power, you’ll have to fulfill the skill’s Pact requirement. Pacts are new attributes added to all gears acquired in Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest, and there are three of them:
- Divinity.
- Eternity.
- Ferocity.
Minor Vampiric Powers will only require three Pacts. But Major Powers will need six Pacts to be activated. For example, you need to fulfill two of each Pact to be able to activate Metamorphosis. On the other hand, Coven’s Fangs only needs two Divinity Pacts. Each piece of equipment also has a limit to how much Pact it can be given:
- Helm: three Pacts.
- Chest: five Pacts.
- Gloves: five Pacts.
- Pants: four Pacts.
- Boots: three Pacts.
Thankfully, these Pacts can be added and removed from any piece of gear.
Diablo 4 is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Battle.net.
