Mythical Dream is a mysterious quest early on in Coral Island that begins after a mysterious force asks you to go to a Sacred Tree, of which there are several on the island. This dream occurred for us on Spring 8, just after learning about the town ranking system from the mayor. After you have the dream, you will need to seek out a Sacred Tree to find out more about Coral Island.Â
Where to Find a Sacred Tree
There are a couple of Sacred Trees in Coral Island, but the closest one is located on the path to the Cavern. The Cavern is where you can delve into mines to find ore. If you haven’t been introduced to the Cavern, it can be found by going north from your farm and then west of the Ranch. After a short walk, you will find a massive stone sign labeled Cavern directing you north.
Along the pathway, you will run into a Sacred Tree, which is denoted by the stone tablet next to it and the smoky clouds around it. Interact with the tablet to start a cutscene where a mysterious creature appears. The creature will run away; don’t bother chasing it. You can’t find it and need to wait until the next day. Once you progress to the next day, you can continue the Mythical Dream quest in Coral Island.
Meet the Chieftain to Advance the Mythical Dream Quest in Coral Island
You will have a dream the next night showing a broken log serving as a bridge is repaired. There will be a letter from the Chieftain, saying it was scared the previous day but wants to meet. To find him, exit your farm to the west, head north a little bit, and cross the log from the dream. This will trigger a cutscene with the Chieftain giving you the Third Eye, which allows you to read some of the ancient text from around the island. The next step of the Mythical Dream quest in Coral Island will be to go to the Lake Temple.
Where To Find the Lake Temple
Next, you must head to the Lake Temple, which can be found in the northeast corner of the map. Head here and approach the Temple to trigger the final cutscene of the Mythical Dream quest. The Goddess will speak to you, telling you to donate to the Temple to help heal the island and the oil spill. This unlocks the collections you can contribute to, which require specific resources to be donated to progress the story.
