This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

You won’t be able to buy a Laser Pointer in the Terminal in Lethal Company. Instead, you will have to rely on luck since the only way to get this item is to find it in a random location of any abandoned building. However, there are no tips that could increase your chances of success.

For those who have been playing relatively recently, it is worth adding that Lethal Company has a lot of helpful items that you can find randomly. So, the Laser Pointer does not stand out for its unique rarity or value. On the other hand, its usefulness is significantly lower than other items.

Once you pick up the Laser Pointer, you only need to equip it in your hand and press the left mouse button, similar to how you activate the Flashlight. As we said earlier, the Laser Pointer emits a dim light, a thin laser line, and points with a bright dot in the direction of the player’s hand. And that is all. The laser does not scare away any enemies or activate secret levers. But in fact, this item has several uses:

  • Firstly, you can lighten up the dark corridors a little. Of course, it’s much worse than Flashlight but better than nothing.
  • You can also point other players to objects. This method can replace communication between players if you play without voice chat. But a 2-minute charge makes this method ineffective.
  • And finally, you can sell it. But its cost is low enough to put it at the end of your priority list.

Finally, we will only add that perhaps the best use of the Laser Pointer is to prank a newbie. You can tell the player that the Laser Pointer’s light can distract the Thumper or Eyeless Dog. And if they believe you, you can have a good laugh with your perplexed friend. Although even in terms of fun, Laser Pointer is inferior to Jeb.
