One of the scariest things in any survival game is finding valuable loot and having to travel all the way back to your base without losing it. Thankfully, Enshrouded gives players an easy option when it comes to fast travel. Contrary to other games, it isn’t hard to unlock it; however, it has a few restrictions. Still, it is nice to know there is some sort of panic button in the game that will allow you to return to the safety of your home.

To unlock the option to fast travel, all you have to do is build a Flame Altar. Once you do that, open your map, and it’ll show you an icon of each of your bases. If you click on that icon, you’ll see a few options, one of which gives you the option to fast travel to it.

While it sounds like a simple thing, there is a restriction when it comes to fast traveling. When you want to do it, you must make sure that you’re not inside the Shroud. You can’t perform this action if you’re deep inside any of the foggy areas of the game, which makes sense. However, once you clear a Well, you’re free to return to your home.

One important thing to remember is that if you’re traveling long distances, you should put a new Flame Altar to travel between two points. Let’s say you’re in a new biome, and you want to return to your first base. You should build an altar first, or you’ll have much walking to do. Still, the journey is quite nice even if you forget it, and you might find a few useful items along the way. But, if you can save time to focus on other important matters when exploring, remember to fill the map with altars and enjoy teleporting to them in a matter of seconds.
