How To Get and Farm Bones in Enshrouded

Literally just break everything.

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

In Enshrouded, there are some resources, like Bones, that you probably don’t realize that you need. Not only can they be used to create building blocks after you’ve completed some quests, but Bones can be turned into Bonemeal, and Bonemeal is the single most important material you will come across when it comes to working with the Alchemist and creating potions of varying sorts. While you might at first think that you can only obtain Bones by defeating enemies, you would be wrong. There is a much easier and, more importantly, safer way to obtain them that can be farmed.

Bones can be found in a few places, but I’m willing to bet that you didn’t even know one of them was possible. First, let’s take it back to your first few minutes in Enshrouded. Remember when you finally made it out of the Cinder Vault and you discovered your first Flame Shrine? Right behind it, there was a bench with a whole Skeleton sitting on it. I don’t know about you, but I was terrified that it would jump up and start attacking me, so I took the initiative and destroyed the already-dead Skelly before it could, even though it wouldn’t, attack. Much to my surprise, I noticed that the Skeleton wasn’t just a random placeholder in the map to add the super dead-like aesthetics we see, but a source of Bones.

Now that I’m quite a bit further into the game and have visited loads of areas in Enshrouded, I can confidently tell you that Skeletons are, by far, the best Bones farm in the game. They spawn literally everywhere and they always drop Bones on the ground when you break them.

Alternatively, you can simply go out and take down some Wolves or Boars, but the risk is much higher since you need to actually fight them, which includes them fighting back, unfortunately, in order to get the drops they offer.

A quick recap:

  • Search for Skeletons lying around the map for easy Bones.
  • Bones drop from wild animal enemies, but you might take damage in the process of getting them.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
