How to Hide the HUD for Photo Mode in Enshrouded

Sometimes, you have to create photo mode if there isn’t an in-game one.

The HUD of any game allows you to see different aspects of the gameplay. This can be anything from a map in the top left corner to all of your items in a hot bar at the bottom of the screen. When it comes to Enshrouded, you’re able to remove the HUD altogether. This allows you to take screenshots and play without the distracting on-screen information. There isn’t a dedicated photo mode in the game to do this, so let’s dive into how to hide the HUD in Enshrouded.

When you press the Escape button on your keyboard, you’ll be met with the game’s main menu. The fourth option is the Hide HUD option. This can be toggled on or off to completely remove the HUD while playing the game. This option is beneficial for players who would prefer to take a more challenging approach to how they tackle a survival game. It makes everything disappear, including your inventory at the bottom of the screen.

This is also great for those who want to take more vivid and realistic screenshots of Embervale’s overworld. There isn’t a dedicated Photo Mode that you can use, so this is the next best option. To break things down further:

  • Open the game’s menu by pressing the Escape button.
  • Select the Hide HUD button to turn off the HUD.
  • Toggle it again to return the HUD as it was before.

What Does Hiding the HUD Help With?

Hiding the HUD in Enshrouded helps with:

  • Taking better screenshots of the world around you or more specific things.
  • Giving you a less cluttered look on the screen while playing.
  • Raising the difficulty a bit as there’s no way to see your inventory or see the map with the HUD off.
