Olivia Dunne faced criticism from many of her Instagram fans as she delivered a jaw-dropping split while clad in a leotard last year. In December 2023, the 21-year-old LSU gymnast sent her 5.1 million followers a massive reminder of her skillset, showcasing her enviable flexibility as she posed with her legs in a beam-set side split.
Flaunting her impossibly toned figure as she delivered another wowing move, Olivia was praised by some, but many slammed her for posting an image they deemed too suggestive. Olivia has clapped back over allegations that she is too provocative with her scantily-clad posts. Nonetheless, the blonde continues to raise eyebrows as some fans think she’s pushing the boundaries. This post garnered negativity, even seeing one fan comment that fellow gymnast Simone Biles does not deliver such content.
Olivia Dunne Gets Flexible On Instagram
Dropping jaws with her agility, Olivia was photographed from a high beam and legs akimbo as she rocked a skintight purple and black leotard shouting out the LSU Tigers.
Highlighting her muscular quads, calves, and peachy rear, the New Jersey native angled her backside outward a little, also stretching one arm out gracefully for her pose. Going a little sheer in her one-piece and with silver studding adding some pizzazz, Dunne wore her blonde locks tied back as she kept focused, writing: “Seasons greetings.”
Told It’s Just Too ‘Seductive’
While many sent the star the usual outpouring of love, the comments section now comes with a notable wave of backlash. “Why is this what you choose to post…..you’re toooo beautiful to be doing that…..we don’t see Simone doing this,” one fan replied. Over 100 others agreed.
Replying, a further fan stated: “Exactly. So sad that she feels she has to post seductive and elicited this type of attention.” One user deemed the post to be “weird,” although another said that Olivia knew precisely what she was “doing.” Despite the hate, the post topped 500,000 likes, which is nothing unusual for Olivia, who is the most-followed NCAA athlete on social media.
Of her outfit choices, ones that have included her 2023 Sports Illustrated Swim picks, Dunne told Elle: “It’s not a girl’s responsibility how a man looks at her or how he acts, especially when you’re doing your sport and that’s your uniform. I can’t help the way I look, and I’m going to post what I feel comfortable with.”
Olivia is continuing to capitalize on her fame and now fronts an array of brands from Vuori Clothing and American Eagle to her latest gig with lifestyle company Nautica.
