One such star who has fallen out of Tom’s good graces is none other than actor and comedian Jamie Foxx.
According to the January 27 edition of Globe Magazine, Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx once had a tight friendship. However, all of that changed after Cruise and his third wife, actress Katie Holmes, called it quits. Not long after the couple’s divorce, Holmes and Foxx began a long and serious romance. After that, Cruise was reportedly upset by his friend moving in on his ex-wife and has allegedly not forgotten nor forgiven Foxx for his behavior.
Years later, Foxx is said to have a new outlook on life. The actor previously suffered serious health issues, including a brain bleed and a stroke. Once he recovered, he made it a priority to make amends with people in his life. One of those people was Cruise. While Tom is said to be happy that Jamie has gotten his health in check and recovered, he allegedly refuses to forgive him for the bad blood of their past.
“Jamie steamed in at the end of his marriage to Katie. Tom’s always been suspicious about the timing,” an insider tells the magazine. “Of course, Tom wished Jamie the best when he had his stroke, but he’s not wishing to be friends again, it’s not happening.”
“Tom doesn’t want to trash-talk Jamie, but doesn’t have a whole lot of respect for him either,” the source continued. “He’s got a long memory and he’s not going to forgive someone who sold him down the river. That’s not how friends treat friends, it’s so not cool.”

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise began dating in 2005 and had a whirlwind romance. The pair got engaged after just two months of dating and, later that year, announced that they were pregnant with their first child. The following year, their daughter, Suri Cruise, was born,” per Harper’s Bazaar.
Tom and Katie tied the knot a few months later in 2006. Six years later, in 2012, Holmes filed for divorce. She took Suri and moved to New York. Since then, Tom has reportedly scarcely seen his daughter, Suri, who is now 18 years old and attends college at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
Following her split with Cruise, Holmes quickly moved on to Jamie Foxx. Katie and Jamie kept their relationship mostly under wraps for years. The pair reportedly began dating shortly after the actress divorced Tom. However, their relationship wasn’t confirmed until 2015, when they were photographed holding hands.
Holmes and Foxx weren’t seen in public again until two years later. They were also spotted together at the 2019 Met Gala. It was their only official public outing together. Just days later, the couple split after several years together.
Although it’s been years since Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes went their separate ways, it seems that the actor and Jamie Foxx’s friendship may not be able to be salvaged. Despite trying to make amends, Foxx likely won’t be hanging with Cruise anytime soon.
