Katie Holmes is saying enough is enough. The former Dawson’s Creek star is finally speaking out about one of the many rumors that have been circulating about her, her former husband, Tom Cruise, and their daughter, Suri Cruise. Although Holmes is known to be a private person when it comes to her relationships and family, she was obviously upset enough by one of the latest rumors that she felt the need to make a public statement to clear the air.
Katie Holmes is reportedly one mad mama. The actress recently took to her Instagram account to debunk a rumor first published by The Daily Mail. Holmes called out the outlet for claiming that her daughter Suri Cruise is now a millionaire in her own right. The report suggest that Suri had gotten a trust fund from both her mother as well as her estranged father, Tom Cruise. However, Katie claims that those reports are simply not true. Over the weekend she shared a snapshot of the online article to Instagram with the caption “Enough.”
“Completely false. Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up,” she added to the post.
Katie Holmes Has Had Enough After Tom Cruise Rumors About Daughter Suri
After sharing her truth on social media, Holmes was praised by friends and fans alike. Many took to the comments section to cheer on Katie for speaking out about the situation, which many deemed dangerous as Suri is no on her own at college.
“@katieholmes has a daughter who is not living as a public figure, who’s out in the world, and the daily mail has just painted a target on her back. How would you feel if that was your child?! Stories like this are dangerous!” one person commented.
“So she wants us to believe that her daughter has not received millions from her father?” another stated.
“It’s not worth your time,” a third person suggested.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Divorced in 2012
Tom and Katie split back in 2012 after six years of marriage. After that, Katie moved to New York with Suri and it’s been reported that the now 18-year-old hasn’t had contact with her famous father in years. Neither Cruise nor Holmes has publicly spoken about the divorce or the terms of their split. However, it’s been rumored that Tom’s heavy involvement in Scientology is a big reason for the end of their marriage.
Since their divorce, Holmes and Cruise have yet to remarry or have any more children. Tom has two adopted adult children, Connor and Isabella, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman. However, his love life has remained mostly out of the spotlight since ending things with Holmes. For her part, Katie has dated a few men since her divorce. Most notably, the actress has a very private long-term romance with actor Jamie Foxx.
Meanwhile, Suri Cruise is following her dreams by studying at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania. The university specializes in fine arts. It was previously reported that Tom Cruise is paying her tuition. Although he no longer has to pay Katie Holmes child support, he allegedly still foots the bill for Suri’s medical expenses, education, and extracurricular costs.
