The singer’s former wife has put the final pieces of the puzzle together, confirming that he is unwell. Firerose said the family’s worries about the legend’s health are not far-fetched. The singer’s poor performance at Monday’s presidential post-inauguration Liberty Ball set the rumor mills rolling. Although it was brief, Firerose likened his situation to what she had to endure in their marriage. In her words:
“It’s very sad to see the same struggle continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.”
Firerose and Billy walked down the aisle in October 2023. They finalized the divorce last August, and Firerose declared that she trusted the wrong version of Billy.
The guitarist also accused Firerose of charging $96,000 on his credit card. He also requested a temporary restraining order to stop her from using his card for purchase and her expenses. Firerose claimed she was blindsided by the divorce, noting that Billy forced her out of their marital home. She accused the star of exhibiting unpredictable and violent behavior that could pass for verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse.
The performer declared that she now wants to use her personal experience in the marriage to help people. Billy’s epic fail at the ball had him struggling to perform his two-song set without backing music. The legendary country artist, frustrated at some point, asked if the audience did not want him to perform.
