According to Page Six, the threats come days after his son penned a heartfelt and public plea for his troubled father to seek help. It was apparent to those who watched Billy Ray Cyrus on Monday night something was very off with the singer. Despite his excuses the following day of technical difficulties, those close to the singer continued their pleas for him to reach out to them for help.

Things became increasingly worse following Billy Ray’s announcement of a new album collaboration with his eldest son, Braison. In a firm but loving message penned on Instagram by Trace Cyrus on Saturday, he opens up his heart to his dad, Billy Ray, for the second time in a week. The 35-year-old didn’t hold back while sharing the pain that his dad’s alleged addiction issues caused their family.
As previously reported, news of Billy Ray Cyrus’ alleged issues with alcohol and drugs began mounting following his divorce from his wife of 30 years, Tish Cyrus. Things became seemingly worse following his brief marriage to his third wife, Firerose.
Trace Cyrus implies his father has hit rock bottom. He also reveals that he and the Cyrus siblings fear for Billy Ray Cyrus’ well-being. “You should be ashamed of yourself. I will always love you, but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help.“
