If there is one thing everyone can agree on is that working in retail is never easy. An unhinged Black Tennessee customer had an outburst at a Walmart and started insulting an employee who was also Black. According to him, the woman asked if they printed pictures, and he told her no and that she could go to CVS; it’s just a recommendation. This is when she lost her cool. Immediately, she started yelling and calling him the N-word several times. She then tells him, “Your mama gonna be crying about you.” When he repeats the same sentence but uses the word “folks” instead, things escalate even more. “My mama is dead,” she shouts and then proceeds to throw at him the pictures she had. All of this is happening while people around are watching, and no one is intervening.
In another video, security showed up and tried to calm her down. They are a lot nicer than they should have been. This behavior makes it okay to kick her out of the store. At this point, the employee heads to the back, and other employees replace him. Despite this, her yelling continues, and she then demands that they give her her pictures. Unfortunately, the employees had to pick them off the ground even though she was the one who threw them away. She then yells, “Don’t talk about my mom. I just lost my mom in February.” I mean, you are the one who brought up Mom’s first. For some reason, the store still decided to ring her up instead of kicking her out. The employee had a laugh about it at least because he posted an AI video of himself hugging the Tennessee customer.
People Reacting to the Unhinged Black Tennessee Customer
It’s reasonable that everyone was against the unhinged Tennessee customer including Black people too. In fact, someone was tired of seeing this kind of behavior happen. “She talked about his momma then when he said the same thing about her folks she threw a fit? I’m tired of us,” one person wrote. Others found it insane that she got upset about her mom when she was the one who started it. “hol on how she mad n she brought mamas,” someone said. Another person wrote, “Even if he did say sumn about her mama, you opened the dooooorrrrrr.” One woman even asked, “How she know his momma ain’t dead?!!” There was also one person who believed that the Tennessee woman doesn’t deserve respect at all. “This why you can’t respect all elders, it’s a two way street,” they wrote.
Others also applauded how the employee handled the situation and that he didn’t escalate it. “She thought she was gonna get him mad and his patience mad her even more mad,” one person wrote. Another TikTok user shared how they would have reacted as they said, “definitely woulda started dissin the dead… that’s just me tho.” I mean, the employee was definitely way too respectful. There was also one person who joked about how long it took the managers and security to show up. “Managers & security must be in the back hiding,” they wrote. Honestly? I wouldn’t want to deal with this woman either. Another person repeated how unfortunate it is that a Black woman acted this way toward her own people. “Wow we our worst enemies‼‼ That young man was raised well‼‼” they said. I hope she regrets her behavior.
