A decades-old photograph and a flurry of lawsuits have ignited a startling claim that challenges pop history. Jayme Lee, an Arizona speech therapist, insists she secretly gave birth as a child and handed her baby to Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, alleging that the child grew up to be Miley Cyrus.

Jayme Lee, now 45, tells DailyMail that her story began with childhood trauma. She alleges she was sex trafficked, became pregnant at 12, and was determined to protect her baby.
“I never wanted to involve Miley,” Lee said. “But she’s evidence – the evidence I have to show that I was sex trafficked and had a baby because of it.”
According to Lee, she named the child before birth. “I knew that I wanted to protect this baby at all costs,” she said. She further stated:
“I specifically picked the name Miley as soon as I realized I was pregnant because of all the miles I had traveled [while being sex trafficked].”
Lee claims she approached several celebrities about adoption before being connected to Billy Ray Cyrus through Dolly Parton. She alleges she later gave birth alone in California and handed the baby over during what she describes as a private adoption. This account conflicts with the Cyrus family’s long-established narrative.
Court Battles, Denials, and Unresolved Questions
Lee’s claims have fueled multiple lawsuits in Tennessee and California, several of which have been dismissed. A Tennessee judge recently ordered her to pay legal fees to Billy Ray Cyrus, who has flatly rejected the allegations as “false and absurd.”
Undeterred, Lee says she is pursuing a new legal path to secure a DNA test. She has also spoken openly about her PTSD diagnosis, saying recovered memories led her to seek answers years later. “I remember that I was raped and I had a baby, and I’m only remembering it now,” she recalled of speaking to a doctor.
Despite repeated attempts, Lee says she has never made contact with the singer. Her hope, she maintains, is not to rewrite a family history but to confirm the truth behind a story she insists is real, no matter how unbelievable it sounds.
