Opinions will always be divided on whether to support ICE or not. There are many businesses that decide to support them, but that usually ends in backlash. This is what the owner of a pro-ICE Oregon business discovered. The owner shared a video describing how her business, called BelovedCheesecakes, has been receiving threats for supporting ICE. She made sure to point out how these threats were coming from the party calling itself “The Party of Love.” Her business had been around for seven years, and this wasn’t the first time she had received backlash. During lockdown, she was criticized for deciding to stay open because she was the sole parent for her three kids.

The Oregon woman then said that she also was met with backlash when she didn’t put Black Lives Matter in her window after what happened to George Floyd. She went on to describe how the latest backlash came when she stayed open on the day when people planned to close stores and protest against ICE. That day, she shared a story saying that the store would be open. She also wrote, “We love Jesus. We love America. And we support our law enforcement.” Immediately, they started receiving negative reviews. The reviews then escalated. According to the owner, the “woke mom” found their Facebook page and started saying awful things. She also claimed that they received emails with explicit images in them.

In addition to this, the Oregon business was also receiving threats for supporting ICE. Even though some hoped that her business would fail, her response was “I hope you succeed.” The owner then repeated her stance and made it clear that she wasn’t ashamed of what she believes in. She also said that she loved immigrants. Following this, the owner said that despite her love for immigrants, she also believed that undocumented criminals should go back to their country. She then went on to claim that she was also threatened that their building would burn down. “I would never treat someone like that,” she added when describing how they were treated because of their beliefs. The rest of the video includes more instances of her defending her business.

People Reacting to the Pro-ICE Oregon Business’ Video

After the Oregon business owner posted a video describing all the backlash they faced, thousands of people left comments supporting them. Since the owner claimed that the threats were coming from the left party, many made sure to criticize the party as a whole. “Democrat party is now the party of violence. Cancel culture. The hateful party. TIME TO SWITCH,” one person wrote. Another person said, “They are truly no longer a party. They are a cult.” Someone else added, “We cannot co-exist with the left.” This made one woman write, “Girl, a child literally said trump harmed them in those files, and yall still support him, while saying we must protect all children. The left aren’t the hypocrites at this point, maga is. I am whole registered republican, and yall are just embarrassing.”

On the other hand, a lot of comments were focused more on supporting the Oregon business. “Beloved Cheesecake is about to explode with business…get those bakers ready!” one person wrote. Another person also said, “A true Oregonian here, I’ll be home in a few weeks and I am definitely coming to buy some treats! Keep doing what you believe in.” Someone else wrote, “I’m gonna have to try some of your cheesecake. I’m an Oregonian too and I’m tired of these hateful people ruining anything or anyone that doesn’t agree with their wicked views.” Others encouraged the owner to never change their views as one TikTok user said, “Stand firm in your values. Do NOT be bullied or intimidated into the narratives that do not align with yours. The LIGHT always conquers the dark.” Sending them threats is definitely extreme.
