We all know that one of the biggest issues in the country is bad drivers. Many of them often lead to terrible accidents, while others, despite ending in a few close calls, still plague the streets with their lack of proper driving skills. Not long ago, one of these close calls happened in Chandler, Arizona, where a well-known roofing company almost caused a fatal car accident. Fortunately, everyone avoided the careless driver, and even the company’s owner apologized for the employee’s actions.
The clip, which we assume was recorded through a dashcam, shows an intersection. As you can see, the vehicles in front of the one who recorded were waiting for their turn to move. When the light turns green, they start moving normally, but here is where the truck from the roofing company comes in. As you can see, the truck driver ignored the right-of-way light and drove while other vehicles were crossing. Thankfully, the careless driver didn’t hit anyone, and it turned out to be a close call.
Still, the story didn’t end then, especially for the internet sleuths, as many Redditors from Arizona quickly noticed this vehicle belonged to a roofing company. Some users even identified the company and included its name in the original post. Not long after, the owner of the company also commented on the thread, apologizing for what happened in the following statement:
“We were made aware of this incident today and immediately investigated it internally. The driver has been identified and addressed, and corrective action has been taken in line with our safety policies.“
Despite the apologetic statement, several Redditors were still furious about the situation, and many thought that since the business is a family-owned company in Chandler, Arizona, there might not have been any accountability to the driver who almost caused a car accident.
“Thanks for posting. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’m getting tired of this. No wonder no one wants to go out.” – Finefergitit via Reddit.
“Slap on the wrist and fill in the blank apology online lol.” AZ_Lonewanderer via Reddit.
Given how often bad drivers cause some of the worst accidents, it’s easy to see why people are still furious about the situation. Still, it is nice to see such a quick reply from the company’s owner. However, many think the company’s leader should have been more transparent about the driver’s punishment and whether they would continue working for the company.
