The video comes by way of TikTok dani_villarr, who is reportedly a Texas-based wildlife conservationist, known for creating wholesome content featuring both exotic and native animals. In the footage, a brown-and-black lemur can be seen standing on its hind legs, soaking up the Texas morning sunshine in a cute, almost human-like pose. What makes the moment even more adorable is the expression on the lemur’s face, which looks incredibly peaceful and relaxed. The animal influencer filming the clip can be heard asking, “You enjoying the sun this morning?“
For the unaware, lemurs are a type of primate known for their large eyes and long tail, and are native to the island of Madagascar, where nearly all species are found in the wild. This particular lemur seems to be more domesticated lemur, likely because it’s spent a lot of time around humans, and is being cared for in the Texas conservation center where the footage was recorded.
With over 16.5 million views on TikTok and 26k upvotes on Reddit, it’s safe to say the footage has gone viral, and viewers can’t seem to get enough. Of course, commenters couldn’t resist chiming in with their thoughts.
