In a state known for its vast highways and long commutes, Texas has consistently ranked among the places where aggressive driving and road rage incidents are an all-too-common part of daily life. With this in mind, a recent road rage incident caught on camera in Texas shows an enraged driver hurling racial slurs, and the footage is now circulating widely online.
While the viral clip was initially posted to TikTok — where it’s garnered over 1.5m views — it has since made its way to Reddit. It’s unclear what sparked the confrontation, but the opening moments show a man in a luminous yellow top and blue jeans stepping out of his Toyota vehicle, which notably bears a Texas license plate. He’s holding his phone and recording, and is angrily yelling, though it’s hard to hear what he’s saying at the beginning, largely due to music being played in the cameraman’s car.
However, the music is turned down, allowing the irate man’s words to be heard more clearly. “Aye, you gonna do something. Aye, come on, [racist slur]! Jump out you [expletive] [racial slur]! You’re a [expletive] [racial slur]! You [expletive] [racial slur]!” The angry driver continues repeatedly yelling racial slurs, while the victim sits in his car recording the racist incident.
As the clip keeps gaining traction online, viewers have poured into the comments to weigh in with their reactions. Many commenters pointed out the irony of the racist outburst, noting that the Texas man himself appears to be Hispanic. On TikTok, one user wrote, “Who’s gonna tell him?👀” while another chimed in with, “Our own people!!🤦🏽♀️” A third commenter penned, “Exactly what this government created everyone against each other 😞😞😞” Meanwhile, over on Reddit, one netizen expressed, “Ain’t this the pot calling the kettle back? [sic]” while another replied to this, declaring, “From what I have seen, there is a divide among Hispanics who are born here or have became citizens and Hispanics who are not citizens.”
Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident, and it’s still unclear whether police were called to the scene.
