Punctual Ohio Woman Gets Stood Up By Date Who Apparently Can’t Tell Time, ‘Hey, I’m gonna go get my hair cut before the date’

The small arm is hours; the long arm is minutes

When your date is expected at the agreed-upon time, you’d expect them to be a few minutes early. Some even time it to the T, and making that time means planning your day accordingly. It’s basic stuff. But one Ohio woman probably expected the same, but apparently, some people didn’t get the memo. Her time was wasted, and yet he felt his time was wasted. How hard is it to plan your day?

“I was supposed to go on a date today at 12 PM with a 34 year-old man,” says TikToker Lindz (TikTok/linds_elize). She states they “agreed” on that time, too. It’s good she did, or others would have another excuse to make her the villain. At 11 PM, he texts her back saying, “Hey, I’m gonna go get my hair cut before the date.” Lindz found his decision-making skills “interesting.” She was already concerned about how he could possibly manage that.

I actually had to giggle because no way he just said that 😂 #dating #datingstorytime #datinglife #singlelife

Lindz says she showed up 15 minutes before because she’s “punctual, because I’m a grown up, and I am where I say I’m gonna be when I’m gonna be there, [expletive].” Surprise, surprise, her date texts her back that he’s going to be late. That was at “11:49” and he had just arrived at the barber.

Reluctantly, Lindz lets him know it’s “no problem,” and figures 10 to 20 minutes late. That’s at least 20 minutes minimum, and anything after that is tardiness. That’s reasonable and incredibly generous of Lindz. But giving him plenty of leeway, she and her friends weren’t feeling good about this. The general consensus? That being 34 years old and unable to “tell the time” is unacceptable.

By “12:30” Lindz was done. Worse still, he wasn’t on the road yet. He had given her the barber’s address so she could see the travel time. According to Lindz, “it was 30 minutes away,” and she rightfully calls him out. Ultimately, she felt her time wasn’t “respected.”

Her date tries to flip it, suggesting it had something to do not wanting to FaceTime because he asserted she didn’t “feel pretty about herself.”

The comments on Lindz’s TikTok video were not at all kind to her date. It’s a simple ask to be on time, and he couldn’t even manage that.

One woman in the comments said, “That date was over at 11:50am.”

Another suggested her date “learned that manipulation tactic” from “red pill podcasts,” and it’s scary how true that is. Honestly, she dodged a massive red flag.
