Marriage can be one of life’s most rewarding partnerships, but when it begins to unravel, emotions run high and even the strongest bonds can dissolve into complicated, messy breakups. With that in mind, a Virginia woman accused of cheating on her husband was captured on video attempting to have him removed from their home, accompanied by a police officer. The footage is currently circulating online.
The clip shows the confrontation unfolding in the garden area of the couple’s property, with a police officer stood on the right, and the Virginia wife who has been accused of infidelity on the left. The person recording appears to be the husband at the heart of the incident. “I mean, if he’s going to be weird, then can he leave? If he’s going to cause a lot of drama.” the lady says to the cop, before asking the husband to stop recording. To this, he calmly replies, “No, I’m recording because I’m curious about this too.”
Turning back to the police officer, the woman continues, “Okay, so I just want to know what the law is as far as if we can’t get along in the home. It’s been recently discovered that we’re heading towards divorce. And so I don’t feel safe with him in the home.” Here, the husband interjects, saying, “Your mother’s right there in Berryville. And I pay all the bills. She doesn’t work because she smokes pot all day. So she pays nothing for the house. I pay all the bills.”
A little baffled by the awkwardness of the exchange, the officer asks, “You guys are legally married? That’s right? Are you guys still legally married?” and they both say yes. The woman then explains, “He’s been supportive. [I’ve] been looking for a job. And I was let go from my job three weeks ago.” The husband then accuses the wife of “always” being let go from her jobs due to smoking pot, and her drug history, though she denies these allegations.
The back-and-forth then switches gear to something even more serious, with the wife accusing the husband of mental abuse, saying, “You know, I called the police because I’m scared because of your mental abuse, just like now. I don’t feel safe. I don’t feel safe.”
Once the footage began making the rounds, social media quickly lit up with reactions. On Reddit, one user wrote, “Why can’t she stay with her lover” while another responded to this with, “Her lover’s partner is uncomfortable with that idea“. A third penned, “She’s using all the one liner Victim statements hahaha“. Meanwhile, over on TikTok, one commenter declared, “I’m team husband” while another chipped in with, “If you don’t feel safe, then get in your car and leave“.
