In just the month of March alone, big things have been happening in the U.S. The U.S. and Israel have been involved in a major operation against Iran that has our country rightfully on edge. On top of these concerning developments, there’s also been vital testimony taking place on Capitol Hill involving South Dakota Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. She has been testifying on behalf of her department’s actions, especially after the recent deaths of two individuals by federal immigration agents. Now, in breaking news, President Trump fired Kristi after some heated statements.
TikToker Aaron Parnas (@parnasperspective), who shares political news, reported that Kristi Noem was fired on March 5, 2026, one day after wrapping up her testimony on Capitol Hill. Aaron says Kristi is the “first cabinet secretary to be removed by the President of the United States.” He tells his audience that she will “be replaced by Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin,” also a republican. He will be taking her place on March 31, 2026, according to a Twitter post made by the President.
Donald Trump went on to say that Kristi will be moved to the “Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida.” He adds, “I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland’” before introducing us to Markwayne. Trump says the new Homeland Security Secretary will, “MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.”
Apparently, Kristi and Trump were butting heads over a $220 million ad campaign. In the campaign, Kristi Noem asked those in the U.S. illegally to leave the country on their own volition. Though she said that Trump was aware of this campaign, he adamantly denied this. He claims he never “signed off” on it and was allegedly “pissed” about it, according to Louisiana Senator John Kennedy. Kristi has been criticized ever since the start of Trump’s ongoing immigration enforcement. These actions led to fatalities and chaos in major U.S. cities. It’s really no surprise that it came to this.
One commenter pointed out after the firing, “Trump will throw anyone, and everyone under the bus.” Another asked, “Is this the beginning of the end because DJT doesn’t want the Epstein files released?”
