Ordering food from fast-food restaurants is usually quick and convenient, but when the meal isn’t up to par, it can sometimes lead to frustrated customers and complaints. With this in mind, a California customer wasn’t too happy with her order at a Panda Express and tried to make a complaint, but the back-and-forth escalated to the point where an employee threatened the woman with a weapon on camera. The video is circulating online right now.
The video takes place at the Panda Express counter, where a customer is seen in the middle of complaining to employees about her order. “The rice is hard, it’s undercooked, and I asked for my money back, for a refund, there’s no manager here, they say, to rectify the situation. But this guy, back here, whoever he is–” exclaims the disappointed customer, before a young worker interrupts her, stating, “Ma’am, if you don’t get the [expletive] out of my store. Get the [expletive] out of my store.“
Annoyed, the customer repeatedly asks the staff to “call the police,” in an apparent attempt to escalate the situation. However, a male member of staff intervenes, though what he’s shouting is difficult to discern due to the background noise. Sporting a purple t-shirt and a black beanie hat, the man seemingly yells, “Get the [expletive] out of here you ignorant, dirty [expletive]! You [expletive] [expletive] ass, [expletive]! Get the [expletive] out of my store! I am about to call the police you [expletive] ass [expletive]! I’m gonna beat your ass!” As he continues yelling angrily, the other female employee ushers him into the back of the store in a bid to defuse the altercation.
After further heated back-and-forth, the female employee tells the woman that she is indeed calling the police, though the customer begins to accuse the workers of racism. “These are racist ass White kids working in the store. They don’t know how to cook.” she states loudly. However, things quickly escalate even further when the male employee returns brandishing a weapon, which he waves in a threatening manner towards the patron. “Get the [expletive] out of the store!” he screams. The customer can be heard saying, “He is threatening me with a knife. Call the police.”
As the video makes the rounds online, social media users flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the wild encounter. On Reddit, one user wrote, “Ma’am the police aren’t going to get you a refund. & someone tell Malibu’s most wanted to calm down” while another chimed in with, “Employees would’ve been easily in the right if not for the guy going crazy. He went from 1 to 1000 in seconds“. A third commenter penned, “The guy was being unhinged. Just give her a refund, big [expletive] deal.”
At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether police arrived on the scene, but available information indicates that no one was injured during the heated argument.
