The places mail couriers deliver to can sometimes be a little uncanny, if not downright creepy, especially in the less urban neighborhoods. One Amazon driver found such an unsettling spot during their mail run in Arizona: a weathered-looking home with dozens upon dozens of unopened packages lying around outside. There’s a plethora of junk and trash scattered about as well, causing the parked cars to be blocked in. The driver notes that this isn’t the first time he’s delivered packages to the “scary” house, and, from his perspective, something shady or sinister might be going on.

The Amazon driver’s video was initially uploaded to r/Weird but was removed by moderators within a few hours. Still, it certainly was an ideal subreddit post such a clip. The sight of the home barricaded with Amazon boxes is more than bizarre. “[I’m] surprised no on ever bothered to alert someone after they initially started piling up,” emarked a commenter. Other people wondered why no one was stealing the packages, considering how many were out there. “Someone needs to report a wellness check,” added another.
“At this point I bet there have been multiple checks that have been sufficiently answered,” guessed a Redditor. They believe that, since the recipient may have no family or friends to help, the authorities can’t do much else for them. Some commenters believe the person could be a hoarder or possibly dead, while one person added that the packages could also be one of Amazon’s auto-subscriptions. “Boxes of roughly the same sizes. Car parked outside. Either someone died or they were sent to prison,” concludes a Redditor.
The Address Could Also House an Elderly Person Issues or Be a Scammer’s Lot
There are other possibilities for why this has happened to this Arizona home. As one commenter pointed out, the home’s address could be a scammer’s “garbage lot” of sorts, where they use the house as a place to deliver returned faulty goods. A woman in California has endured through such a dilemma, calling it “another form of hell.” Another possibility would be that the homeowner is elderly and has some form of mental illness or dementia situation, as one Amazon driver shared on their post on r/AmazonDSPDrivers.
In the end, this Arizona house definitely has some mystery going on that the internet needs answers for. Until more is revealed, the neighbors or visiting friends and family would likely be the best source of what is actually going on at that home.
