Road rage remains a persistent issue on today’s roads, with incidents of aggressive driving continuing to be widely reported. A shocking road rage incident in Atlanta, Georgia saw a driver cut off a motorist, hurl racist slurs, and give chase, prompting the victim to call the police. The incident has been captured on video, which is now circulating online.
The video begins on a busy road in Atlanta, captured from the perspective of the victims inside their car. The black Tesla ahead pulls over to the right, creating an opening for a confrontation. As the occupants film with their windows down, the Tesla driver leans out, saying, “Yeah, record this,” and flips them the bird, before hurling a racial slur. “Yeah, you’re a dumb [expletive] [racial slur].” he says. However, the other motorist snaps back with, “You wish you were White, huh? You’re just as illegal, stupid!” as the other occupants burst into laughter.
The footage then cuts to the Tesla driver chasing them, driving erratically behind their vehicle, and even slowing down and hurling even more insults at them. “What’s up [expletive] [racial slur]. You’re gonna get [expletive] up.” the Tesla driver shouts, threateningly. He then exits his vehicle and approaches the other car, seemingly on the phone with police, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m on the phone to the cops. Don’t worry, I got your tags.”
The video making the rounds online has drawn widespread condemnation for the Tesla driver’s reckless and racist behavior. On Reddit, one user penned, ““You wish you were white” is some gold there. Notice the guy pulled away instead of retort.” while another added, “He’s too much of a coward to do anything outside the car. He’s got sugar water and gravy running through those veins.”
Elsewhere, over on TikTok, one commenter asked for an update and the OP responded with, “Nothing really, idk if he actually called the cops. We called the cops after he kept following us for 15 mins and gave them his license plate number and right after we got off the phone with 911 he left. We just went on bout our day and didn’t let that incident ruin our day!” A fourth netizen chimed in with, “He’s driving a Tesla … nothing else needs to be said 🤨”
